JIRA: Change filter permissions

I’m repeating myself: It is always the small things. I just had a very nice Zoom call with an employee of Atlassian. He showed me, that I’m a little dumb and Atlassian JIRA has an annoying UX issue.

TL;DR: You need to click Add before saving a new permission!

Screenshot from the "Filter" overview in JIRA. Three different filters, all belong to "Fabian Blechschmidt" have "My organization" as Viewers permission and "administrators" as Editors.

We have a filter we want to change the permission. so we click on the three dots:

The three dots are highlighted, we see a dropdown with the options:
Manage subscription, Copy filter, Edit, Change owner and Delete
An arrow points to "Edit"

After the click on Edit, we get a popup.

The popups shows a dropdown for "Viewers" permissions: Project, Group, My organization, User and Private. Beside it is a description for the current choice "My organization" which is "Any logged in user on winkelwagen.atlassian.net" and beside this an Add button. Below the button is an X, the permission is hidden behind the drop down.
Below all of this the same is shown - which is the permission for Editors.

One can change the the permission, either by deleting an entry with the big X on the right:

Or – and this is the UX issue imho, by choosing something from the dropdown AND THEN CLICK ON ADD. The problem is, this is not obvious – at least not to me.

Because once I click on the Save button, a success message tells me everything is fine – although nothing was changed.
